Heartland Connect was built on the premise that there are thousands of businesses in search of ownership transition that lack the growth trajectory and/or revenue size to attract traditional investors or business brokers. These businesses may be companies inside a larger portfolio of businesses, standalone products inside a larger company, or owner-operated businesses. Oftentimes the ownership is not focused on these businesses because there are other star players in the portfolio or because the owners feel they are otherwise ready for a transition.
What if those businesses could get the attention they deserve?
That doesn't mean they aren't great businesses--even profitable, growing businesses--but they aren't making the progress that they could with focused leadership and know-how and they just aren't big enough to attract a typical sale. That's where Heartland Connect comes in. Our experienced leadership team is committed to generating solid, predictable growth in small businesses using a shared services model that reduces overhead and gives companies access to more senior leadership than their size would generally warrant.

Elaine O'Gorman, Managing Director
Elaine’s career has centered on building and operating growth stage companies. Previously, Elaine held executive roles in a variety of high-growth venture- and private equity-backed companies with sustained annual growth rates ranging from 30-125%. Prior to that, Elaine held financial planning and analysis roles at two Fortune 500 companies.
Elaine holds business degrees from The Wharton School and the Ross School at the University of Michigan. She is active on both nonprofit and private boards and resides in the Dallas area. Elaine is a frequent business motivational speaker and workshop leader. You can find her speaker's page here.
